HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION?

For New First Year Medical Students

1. The basic requirements for acceptance into the medical school are:

  • A graduate of any four-year baccalaureate degree;
  • Has taken the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) within the last two (2) years and obtained a minimum score of 40

2. Interested applicants must submit copies of the following:

  • Accomplished Registration Form (JMCMF – Application Form 2020)
  • NMAT Result of at least 40% taken within the last two (2) years
  • Certificate of General Weighted Average (GWA)
  • Transcript of Record
  •  Two (2) Certificates of Good Moral Character from previous school Dean, professors or any school authority;
  • Two (2) pieces of 2 x 2 photo

3. The Medical Student Admission Committee (MSAC) shall be responsible for the selection and acceptance of medical students.

4. The applicant will be notified of the schedule of the panel interview by the Admissions Committee via e-mail and/or SMS.

5. The applicant will receive a Letter of Acceptance to the JMCMF if the MSAC finds the application favorable after a thorough evaluation of the submitted credentials and result of the panel interview.

For Transferees

  1. A transferee is a student who is currently or was previously enrolled in another medical school and is applying for acceptance in JMCMF.  He or she must be applying for first or second-year level only.
  2. The transferee must submit the following documents to the College of Medicine Admissions Office for preliminary review by the  MSAC panel:

2.1. Accomplished Registration Form (JMCMF – Application Form 2020)

2.2. Documents from the last medical school attended:

  • Academic or Scholastic Records (Transcript of Record)
  • Certificate of Transfer Credential or Honorable Dismissal
  • Certificate of Eligibility for Admission to previous Medical School

2.3. Original or certified true copies of the following:

  • NMAT Result
  • Certificate of General Weighted Average during college
  • Transcript of Records during college

2.4. Two (2) copies of Certificate of Good Moral Character from previous school Dean, school authority or professors

3. The transferee will undergo a Panel Interview with the MSAC who will determine eligibility for admission to JMCMF. He or she will be notified of the schedule of the panel interview by the Admissions Committee via e-mail and/or SMS. 

4. The applicant will receive a Letter of Acceptance to the JMCMF if the MSAC finds the application favorable after a thorough evaluation of the submitted credentials and result of the panel interview.

Application Processing and Interview Fee: P2,000.00

Admission Exam Fee: P300.00
